Miss Carly's

Empowering those in need, one meal at a time.

What We Do

Open our home to those in need in order to connect with people personally and build relationships.

No forms. No alienation.

We serve those who have fallen between the cracks and burned all of their bridges.

We provide basic necessities and unconditional love with a side of sass.

Happenings

Clothing/hygiene items

Three days a week we open out donation room to those in need and we provide emergency clothing 24/7 at the door.

Meals at the door

We provide meals at our door to anyone who is hungry, 24/7, no questions asked.

Drug/Alcohol Treatment

We provide the most immediate access to drug treatment available in our area (usually within 24-72 hours) and we also provide EVERYTHING a person needs for a stay in residential treatment including: hygiene items, clothing, cigarettes, $10 for the vending machine (for sugar cravings caused by withdrawal), shower shoes, a journal, bible or or other spiritual literature, etc. We also provide financial assistance for sober living facilities after residential treatment is completed, which we highly recommend and have found to be the missing link for most individuals. We continue to meet all basic needs of the individual, including: a phone, unlimited bus pass, food, etc util the person is employed and fully self-sufficient.

About us

We are a family in Rockford Illinois that decided to open our dining room table up to feed the hungry and homeless in our neighborhood. Since then, we have grown exponentially, being able to feed as many as 1,000 people a day sack lunches, while still staying small and intimate. We feed people 24/7 right out of our home and meet with people in crisis to troubleshoot their situation offering resources and assistance. Many people come here because they aren't ready, or comfortable going elsewhere. For that reason we are able to help the most vulnerable in our community such as human trafficked women, those fleeing domestic violence, the chronically homeless, and those living in the grip of addiction. We break down barriers for people and pride ourselves on acting fast at providing real-time emergency solutions to people who have fallen through the cracks. We work hard to get people into drug treatment rapidly, as well...usually within 24-36 hours and we have a 99% success rate doing so. We are a big imperfect family of volunteers, servant-hearted individuals who have decided to be of service to those in need. We are solely supported by the community and that is what makes us different and free to serve so holistically. We receive people with open arms and do not judge anyone for any reason at all, but we are tough when we need to be….we feed and care for people with unconditional love with a side of sass.
